Research
As part of a master’s level course in Contemporary Menstrual Studies, I conducted a mixed-methods study exploring the use of hormonal contraceptives, specifically the birth control pill, for symptom management. Surveying 250 participants aged 14 to 64 from six continents, the research examined reasons for adoption, knowledge at the time of prescription, and factors leading to discontinuation. These findings highlight the importance of informed choice and understanding side effects, paving the way for deeper exploration through interviews and focus groups.
If you’re interested in conducting research with me or exploring menstrual health topics further, I’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss potential projects!
